The bedroom - sleep only?

Is anyone else so exhausted by the end of the day that they are asleep before their head even hits the pillow? I worry that I'm meeting all of the children's needs but very few of my husband's. Any suggestions ladies?

I know exactly what that feeling of exhaustion is like! I went through those worries too and upon an open discussion on the subject with my husband, we both came to the conclusion that somehow we must save some energy to meet each other's needs (and not just the kids' needs) that's what marriage is all about right? Opening discussions about this is my recommendation...

Oh yes. I can just about brush my teeth on a good night. After about a year of being pissed off with each other, my husband and I reached an agreement. We have scheduled sex twice a week. On a Saturday night - we always have a babysitter and go out which makes me a lot more amenable to his advances later on. And then on Wednesday night. he cooks dinner and gets the kids to bed, so I have a couple of hours to relax before the big event. I know it doesn't sound very romantic, but it works for us.

Have you checked out the book yet? In the Sex chapter there is a solution for women called "The Five Minute Fix" I laughed out loud when I read it. Basically the advice, as someone else put it, is that you don't always have to play the entire orchestra, sometimes you can just focus on the flute for a few minutes. It's something to keep in mind when it's been a while since anything other than sleep has been happening in the bedroom!!

Divide the household work 50/50.

Once he started doing half of what I was doing (and actually doing it) I wasnt so tired.
